Context

In 2017 we were involved in a project helping students to think about the Arts in Nursing, which culminated in a conference at London South Bank University. One of the students involved, Bethany Campbell (now a qualified nurse) wrote some short pieces of narrative. One of these The Train to Svalbard was based on her experiences of working with people who had recently been diagnosed with dementia. We are grateful that she allowed us to take this text and interpret it for a short film.

The text remains true to the original, but in 2018, as a company, we worked on how we would use it for the short film. The film will now be used within the School of Health and Social Care at LSBU.
